25 Business Leaders Graduate from Board Serve Program

25 business leaders graduated from United Way of Central Oklahoma’s second Board Serve Central Oklahoma Program on Tuesday, May 19 at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

Chosen by their respective companies to participate, these graduates met once a month in the evening from September to April for expert-led sessions in nonprofit board governance, leadership skills, nonprofit law, fundraising, crisis management and other critical skills to serve on a nonprofit board.

The Board Serve Program was developed in 2013 at United Way of Central Oklahoma to help strengthen Partner Agencies within our community with professionally trained board members. Upon graduation, members are matched with a nonprofit agency to serve a year as a board member.

The 25 newly trained graduates were matched with 19 nonprofit agencies.
