United Way of Logan County Community Investment
United Way of Logan County maintains the highest level of accountability. Through the Community Investment process, our Partner Agencies are rigorously reviewed by volunteers from the local community who contribute to the United Way. United Way Partner Agencies are held to higher standards than all other nonprofits and must earn United Way funding on an annual basis. Community Investment volunteers spend approximately five months reviewing financial data, program results, goals and achievements and new funding requests, as well as visiting each agency before making recommendations to the United Way board of directors. United Way of Logan County donors can be assured that their investments support the most effective service providers in our community.

Help determine how United Way dollars are spent! On an annual basis, United Way provides funding to local programs that have proven their effectiveness. Through Community Investment, donor volunteers lead the review of funding requests, financial data and past performance. The work takes place between March and September, with most concluding by June. Volunteers should be able to commit to two meetings of two hours, as well as site visits to three to four local nonprofits.
