Positive Tomorrows Receives Doug Stussi Financial Stewardship Award

$5K will bring art classes to homeless students

Positive Tomorrows is pleased to announce it has received the Doug Stussi Financial Stewardship Award of $5,000. This award will provide a year of art classes to students at Positive Tomorrows, Oklahoma’s only elementary school specifically for homeless children.

“We are fortunate that generous volunteers can provide classes like physical education, music, yoga, and French free of charge. To be recognized for our financial stewardship in this way is an honor,” said Susan Agel, President and Principal at Positive Tomorrows. “This grant will have a great impact on our students by providing art classes for an entire school year – something homeless children often go without.”

The Doug Stussi Financial Stewardship award is granted annually by United Way of Central Oklahoma in recognition of a collaborative or innovative initiative, process or program developed or implemented by a not-for-profit that demonstrates excellence in financial stewardship. This Award has been graciously endowed by Tom and Judy Love and the Love’s family of companies in recognition of Doug Stussi’s dedication and service to the United Way of Central Oklahoma. This year’s winner was announced on January 24th at the United Way of Central Oklahoma’s annual Snowflake Gala.
