Oklahoma County Senior Summit

People age 65 and over are the fastest growing segment of our population. In Oklahoma County alone, there are more than 80,000 seniors today and the numbers will triple in the next two decades. Staying ahead of this trend is critical to our community’s well-being.

Beginning in 2005, Oklahoma County officials have partnered with United Way to host annual Senior Summits offering older adults, their families, and community leaders a forum to voice concerns and develop a plan to improve elder services in central Oklahoma. The Vision 2020 Report was created at the spring 2008 Summit where priority issues were established and action plans were begun. Read the full report here. (Vision 2020 Report link)
