Research
Through Vital Signs, the Research and Convening Division of United Way of Central Oklahoma monitors the well-being of Oklahoma County citizens over time.
Vital Signs provides a unique, comprehensive compilation of information about economic well-being, health, education, safety, civic participation and arts and culture, including identified trends and critical issues. Vital Signs information helps guide the allocation of resources and strategic priorities of leading health and human service organizations.
Convening
The Research and Convening Division of United Way of Central Oklahoma convenes appropriate agencies and community leaders to help them develop and implement solutions that address identified critical issues. If research-revealed needs cannot be met through existing agencies or programs, the Research and Convening Division collaborates with other organizations and community leaders to develop and launch pilot programs that will fill the gaps in services. Some of examples include Central Oklahoma Turning Point and Smart Start Central Oklahoma.
