IBM Donates Computers to Local Charities

United Way of Central Oklahoma and IBM Corporation helped narrow the digital divide by ensuring that nine charitable agencies receive leading-edge computer systems. On October 12, 2003, IBM generously donated three IBM Net Vistas, two Think Pads and four Young Explorers valued at $14,318 to local charitable agencies that provide services in youth education opportunities/early learning programs, community and family services, support for the disabled/ disadvantaged, adult services (i.e. literacy, job training), and/or youth development programs.

The following IBM recipients are 501(c)(3) nonprofits:

• Latino Community Development Agency *
• The Launching Pad in Wheatland
• Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled*
