Community Investment

Become a Community Investment Volunteer

Help determine how United Way dollars are spent! On an annual basis, United Way provides funding to local programs that have proven their effectiveness. Through a process we call Community Investment, donor volunteers lead the review of funding requests, program outcomes, financial data, and past performance. The work takes place between February and September, with most concluding by June. Volunteers should be able to commit to monthly meetings of 2 or more hours as well as site visits to 3 – 5 local non-profits.

If you contribute to United Way and are interested in participating in Community Investment, please contact Crystal Stuhr, Senior Director of Community Investment, at cstuhr@unitedwayokc.org or 405.236.8441 ext. 236.
