Tocqueville Society

Founded by United Way nationally in 1972, the Alexis de Tocqueville Society honors donors in communities throughout the United States whose exceptional generosity was celebrated by the French author in his book, Democracy in America (1832).

The central Oklahoma Alexis de Tocqueville Society counts our community’s most philanthropic leaders among its members. Members of the Society recognize that their investment of $10,000 and more is the most effective way to make a powerful difference in our community.
